I Miss Thailand

What the title says…

As much as I don’t like some things there, I love a lot of it also.

Things I’ve learned in Thailand

This trip to Thailand of mine was probably the longest trip I’ve ever taken to Thailand. It’s also the only time I’ve ever spent without any support from my family there, at all. I have learned so many things there this time around. A lot about me, a lot about Thailand, the culture there, and so many other things.

I think that the thing I learned and is most excited about is to learn how to look at people and their appearances. In my life growing up, I always looked at people and thought to myself “hey she looks really pretty” or “hey that guy is handsome” but never knew what made them pretty or handsome. I just couldn’t tell. Now I know. After spending so much time at the cosmetic clinics in Bangkok, I’ve seen uglies turned movie stars, and I know why now. Let’s start with the face. The main thing on a person’s face is their nose. Funny, and people don’t think about this often, but the first thing people actually notice is the nose, since its right smack in the middle of your face and it builds a complexity and dimensions for your face. So, if you have a flat nose, you have a flat face. If you have a too long of a nose, well, you look like a witch, or a bad guy. Notice how all the bad guys and witches in cartoons have long ass noses. Next are the eyes. Big deal too. The size of a person’s eyes make such a big difference in their face. Next is the shape of the face. Some people have round shape faces, or squared faces etc. So nowadays when I see someone I think that looks good, I know how to analyze their face. I know now that their nose is nice, their eyes are beautiful, and the shape of their face is perfect. Skin is also a major part and possibly the biggest part. You can tell if that person takes care of their skin or not by just looking at them. Thanks to Meko Clinic, I am able to tell most of these things now, and also who had surgery to augmentate the way they look. I still can’t tell the super professional ones, but for the most part I can tell who’s got what done to their face. And you know what, if it makes you look better and you can be more confident in yourself, I say do it. You get my green light haha. After seeing and learning so much, I feel like I kind of work in this industry. I love to see people look good and feel confident about themselves. And if I can advise some people and make them look good, it will make me feel good too!

I learned that I like living alone by myself. So as soon as I get rid of some debt I am getting a place of my own for sure.

I learned that Thai people are biased and they suck. Nothing is fair there.

I learned that I can’t keep typing in a blog for more than five minutes so, until next time!

sdfghj

It completely sucks to miss someone so bad. When I was in Thailand, it sucked cause I missed my dad. When I’m back in El Cerrito, it sucks that I miss my friends so much. But one thing that I know is that, one day I will see all these people again and I will have a great time with them. However, it really sucks to miss someone that will no longer be in your life anymore. And it sucks even more to know that that person lives two minutes away from you, but they don’t give a shit about you anymore. But if that is the case, why do I miss them so much? Life is funny and does not make sense sometimes. It’s funny how I can wish for the person that dislikes me the most to have a great life. I sometimes stalk on people that have been out of contact for a while, and surprisingly I am happy when I see people successful, especially the ones that I dislike or dislikes me. Funny how things work for me, but it is what it is.

Been a While~

I knew I couldn’t keep up with a blog. What did I say?! But here I am, updating this thing again.

I’ve been having a great time the past week. Jade and Lina are finally here and we went to Phuket together. I haven’t been to Phuket since I was 12, so I definitely did no remember how it was. We stayed at this resort that Jade’s parents got for us. They knew the owner so it was all comped for us. The place was super awesome, and later I found out that we were staying at a place where it costs about $2000 USD a night. Crazy!! We then went to a couple of the signature islands around there and then moved out to stay at this very nice condo for a couple of days. It was a great trip indeed.

My lease on my condo is expiring in a week. I am a little bit bummed out about that. When I came back from Phuket and walked into this room, I felt like I was home. I just started to feel attached to the place and now I have to leave it. Even when I come back next time and choose to stay at the same condo, I just know that it won’t be this room anymore. Kind of heart breaking in a sense. If I had money I’d buy this room in a heartbeat.

Ok lazy again,til next time!

Done

So, all my work here is done in Thailand. Guess I can go home happily now haha. This place REALLY isn’t the place for me is it? No matter how many times I try my luck here it seems like I always just end up at the same place doing the same thing feeling the same way. It really does suck. I guess I can rant a bit since I haven’t done it in a while and no one really reads this anyway. It’s winter again finally. Every winter, I get separated from the person that I love the most outside of my family. This year is no exception, but I was expecting it. However, what I did not expect was to not FAIL at everything else in life hahaha. I thought hey, maybe this year something will change cause I don’t have that person around anymore. Sure it feels great, but I still did not achieve anything. I don’t get it, whats up with winter? Why torment me every year? Isn’t it about being all happy and stuff during the holiday seasons? I always have to feel down for the past 5 years. And to make things worst, my birthday falls right after the holidays and it pretty much have been sucking for the past couple of years too! Not like it really matters or anything. All good though, cause I still have a great family and many great friends that love me. But sometimes… just sometimes.. that’s not enough. Weird how I can be happy and sad at the same time haha. Ok, signing out. Good bye.

Another korean vid.. what is happening to me?

How Time Flies

Wow how time flies! It’s already close to December. This is the first year that I’ve spent my holiday season outside of California. Also sucks cause I usually celebrate the day before Thanksgiving with all my friends. Sorry guys, gotta pass up on this year but I promise I will run that shit back whenever I get home. I am really eager to see how different Christmas is over here though. They are finally putting up lights, tress, and the xmas songs are starting to play all over the places. That always bring a smile to my face, and why, I don’t know. I usually work a lot during this season cause it’s the season to make the MOST money out of the year. Sucks that I will be missing out on that this year =/ but hopefully things here will make up for it. Okay I’m lazy so I’m gonna stop here. I knew this was going to happen too. I make a blog, blog for a couple of days then I just abandon it. Let’s see how long I can keep this up haha.

In love with this song atm. It also pretty much sums up how I am feeling too. Woo!

One Month

Been sick and gone for a while (plus no internet haha) but I thought today would be a nice day to write since 1. I can steal internet from my neighbor and 2. I’ve been here for exactly one month. Time flies so quickly… when you’re not doing anything haha. Actually I don’t know, its fast but it’s also slow. I’ve actually been homesick the past couple of days since I’m all sick and shit. Never had I ever gotten food poisoning back at home, even when I eat the dirtiest burrito out there. Talking about burritos,I would KILL for one right now. I doubt I could find a burrito here though. The closest thing would be a Roti haha. I’ve been eating at sizzler a lot here. It’s actually really different from what we have back at home. The food is actually good, and the salad bar is awesome. You order an entree and it comes with free salad bar too! They actually serve fresh salads and a variety of different soups everyday. I usually get a grilled fish fillet and just dig the salad bar. I don’t use any of their dressings but instead the fresh pico de gallo salsa. So good. I guess that’s the closest I’ll ever get to mexican food haha.

Jade, Lina, and Charles bought their ticket to Thailand! So stoked to get to hang out with them here. They get here on Christmas day, so I guess I get to celebrate with them for a couple of hours.

I miss my job. When I get back I swear to the monkey god that I will pick up every shift possible. I am also almost broke. Wish I had a job that pays well on this side of the world. Feels so useless when I’m not working. Ok I’m too lazy to keep typing. Catch you guys later!

11-06-2010

So, food poisoning finally caught up to me today. I knew I shouldn’t have jinxed myself. Last time I was in Thailand, I didn’t get it, so I thought I could slip free this time too. I woke up around 6 A.M. today and I was on the shitter until about 5 P.M. when I decided, hey, maybe I should go see the doctor now. Threw up multiple times, and just sat in the bathroom like it was my bedroom. My uncle picked me up, rushed me to the hospital, and they immediately took me at the emergency entrance. They gave me 2 shots and made me stay there for an hour to see how I was feeling. After the shots though, I felt like I was going to die. I guess the medication was taking effect and it just made me feel like crap. I just have no idea what I ate to get that kind of severe food poisoning. Though, I did take the ServSafe class, and worked in the restaurant industry for years and I know what is safe for you and what is not, I still eat everything here in Thailand. I mean, food left out in the open for hella hours, not at the right temperature, probably not cooked right either, and I still buy it. The hell is wrong with me?
